The earphones create a clean, balanced sound with clarity throughout the frequency spectrum from start to finish.
Not only are these among the most comfortable, if not the most comfortable, in your noise-isolating headphones, but the bud tips keep the bud securely in your ears.
It also helps that the buds are lightweight.
They are plastic which may leave you wondering why they cost $150, but they are made of high-tech plastic if that’s any consolation.

Build Quality – Bose SoundTrue Ultra vs SoundSport
They come in black or white and two versions-one with the remote that’s designed to be used with Android phones and Compatible with Apple iOS devices.
You could hear people better with noise in your environment, thanks to the noise isolation.
And it does come with a nicely designed compact carrying case.
As for the sound, the ultra is an even-handed and very clean sounding headphone that’s designed to make all music sound good.
But the base may be a little lean for some people that crave that extra thumb to their low end.
Personally, though, the sound was smooth and the mid-range clear and warm without being too laid back.
The Ultras top volume is about 10 to 20 per cent lower than a lot of your headphones on the market.
But if your hearing is a little bit short, this may very well not play quite loud enough for you. It has a long wire, which is excellent.
The earbuds just kind of fall through to your shoulder and have a little tiny connector.
The usual Bose build quality is pretty good, but unfortunately, this design feature provides an additional stress point that can cause the cable to break internally.
And that’s why we have a case that is provided along with the in-ears. The case for the in-ears is a kind of a book design.
My initial impressions on using them are that I’ve listened to a song a million times and first time popping them in my ears listening to that track.
I think these earphones bring out their subtleties, like noticing the acoustic guitar in the Reverb. The clarity of sound is prominent.

I noticed background vocals that I knew were there in songs, but this is almost studio-quality sound.
It’s as if the music was meant to be heard in the studio. You have a durable design engineered for sweat and weather resistance.
So these are good if you’re jogging. I’m not sure they don’t advertise if they’re IPX certified.
These might be a bit of a higher-end and more expensive pair of headphones, but if you can find them for $99 or even below, these are a no-brainer.
Now let’s talk about the Bose Soundsport wired/wireless earphones.
The Bose Soundsport wireless earphones are designed for fitness fans out there. They come in two colours, Aqua, and then there’s that stealth all-black body.
Physically, I admit these are a bit bigger than what I anticipated, but looks are subjective.
There’s your power button up top LEDs to indicate when this is fully charged or almost dead and a Bluetooth connection indicator on the bottom.
There is a MicroUSB port for charging. Bose is claiming up to six hours of usage, which is somewhat mid-range when comparing it with other sports earphones in the market.
The left earbud doesn’t have any physical buttons or features but moving down the chord here, it’s thick and feels very durable while still being very flexible.
They rarely get tangled. The volume controller has volume up and down buttons with a pause play and song skipping feature.
The only thing about the buttons is that they are substantial compared to any other earphones I’ve known and tried.
Sometimes you do feel these buttons slide side to side from time to time, which was a bit unusual at first.
Connectivity – Bose SoundTrue Ultra Vs SoundSport
It’s not a deal-breaker, but I do admit it’s a little hard to get used to it after your first use of something.
The controller also comes with NFC or near field communication built-in, which is very handy.
With a tap, the earphones pair with your device automatically. You can just tap them to the headphones, and they’ll connect, which is cool.
Now, getting to the comfort features, they are super soft. Ear tips called ‘Stay Here’ ear tips that range from small, medium, to large.
They’re not snug inside those ear canals by remaining at the opening, and you can still hear your environment, which is ideal for cyclists or runners to ensure that you may hear someone coming up behind you or maybe your traffic around you.
On phone calls, the voices are very clear. However, during vigorous activities, earphones would not fall out, but I would periodically have to push that tip-in.
I guess I built them up in my head, thinking they would crush everyone else out there.
I mean, it’s Bose, so you can expect insanely good audio quality, great design and an overall fantastic product.
Now in terms of battery life, you can expect to get 5 to 6 hours on average or about a week’s worth of workouts for the average person.
And when you do charge them, they require any old micro USB cable. So no biggie there.
You can take phone calls, access Siri or Google Now, and adjust your music Etc. It all works great. But the hardware stuff feels like a little bit of a letdown.
I thought those would make something Sleek, lightweight, unobtrusive and a little bit more versatile.
Bass – Bose SoundTrue Ultra Vs SoundSport
The wind noise is insane when paired with outdoor activities.
It’s louder than if you take the headphones out but also, the cable sticks to your neck when you get sweaty, and the way makes the headphones sometimes bounce, so they just weren’t ideal for anything with a lot of movement or where there is wind.
Songs sound great, but I would have liked to see a slightly more powerful low end.
I was missing that more intense base that pushes you while running.
The mids aren’t given prominence as all of that attention went to the low end.
They’re exactly what they need to be, which is great in my opinion.
The vocals come through clear, and instruments are decent, but you’re not going to get a great amount of detail out of them, the highs which were also kind of pulled back.
One of those features shared by all models is that the shark fin-shaped protrusion on the “StayHear” tip that we earlier looked into curls around the inside of your ear.
The planning could be a little unconventional but it’s also very comfortable. The ideas help keep any unwanted movement or the earphones themselves detached.
This is often one of the simplest specs of Bose earphone design as both earphone types are in-ear, speaker type in stereo.
The transducer type is dynamic and both of them have passive noise reduction. they’re both also sweat and water-resistant.
However, the Soundsport earphones are splash proof while the SoundTrue Ultra isn’t.Tried and tested!
Speaking of the planning differences, you’ll be able to see that the Bose SoundTrueUltra could be a closed-back earphone, and therefore the SoundSport earphone is open-back.
Portability – Bose SoundTrue Ultra Vs SoundSport
The Bose Soundsport and Soundtrue in-ear headphones are available in both Samsung and Apple varieties. The Samsung varieties only come in green for the Soundsport and black for the Soundtrue.
Bose SoundSport ships with a circular soft carry case. It’s a karabiner, enabling it to be attached to clothing or a bag. It also features a mesh area to store accessories.
The SoundTrue includes a wallet-like case with an excellent fashion-conscious look.
There’s no recess included for accessories, though.
The iOS SoundSport may be picked up in Charcoal, Energy Green, Frost, Neon Blue and Power Red (yes! they got creative there). Samsung/Android users will need to content themselves with Charcoal.
However, the SoundTrue Ultra is obtainable in Charcoal, Frost and Cranberry for iOS and Charcoal for Samsung/Android.
One also notices big differences in price range while comparing the SoundTrue Ultra with the SoundSport. While the Bose SoundUltra in-ears cost about $150, the Soundsports are lots costlier, costing about $250.
The Bose SoundTrue Ultra is best for providing a flexible sound with a remote and mainly focuses on casual use.
On the opposite hand, the Bose SoundSport is intended especially for physical activities.
It’s important to notice that the Bose SoundTrue Ultra doesn’t get as loud because of the Soundsport.
The opposite issue with them is that they need the stethoscope effect because they create a confine your acoustic meatus.
The wires will rub against your clothing, and you will be ready to hear that. If this doesn’t bother you or won’t do it, this shouldn’t be a problem in any respect.
The cable for both models terminates in a very straight 3.5mm jack which will easily accommodate a phone case.
The SoundTrue Ultra has updated noise-isolating ear tips and balanced audio performance.

They’re definitely not a bass-heavy build, though, which won’t please everyone. They even have some questionable design choices.

So, it’s clear to determine that there are pros and cons to both choices.
The Soundtrue Ultra is an updated version with noise-isolating ear tips, balanced audio performance, and further remote requirements.
They’re not a bass-heavy pair of earphones, and that they can’t please everyone.
The SoundSport has great features for physical activity, but it doesn’t provide strong sound isolation.
The sound maybe a little more tailored and includes a stronger emphasis on bass.
If you don’t need a foreign, the Soundsport is the best compared to sound ultra because sound ultra is simply available with remote included.
That being said, my personal choice would be to travel with the Bose SoundTrue Ultra in-ears, given affordability.
With the Bose SoundSport being a little bulkier compared to the SoundUltra, I think that if you’ve got the pocket for it, I would personally recommend investing within the former only because they sound slightly better than most fitness headphones on the market.
Most significantly, they stay in my ears, regardless of what I do.
And the SoundTrue Ultra is best for noise isolation if we compare it with the SoundSport.
